I attempted to install Windows Vista RC1 on my laptop over the weekend. Things didn’t go too well. Apperently a good number of my hardware devices aren’t supported in Vista yet, so I didn’t have video drivers or wireless drivers after installing. I perused teh internets for a while, and still couldn’t find any drivers, so I think that makes my first Vista attempt a drastic failure. I guess that’s what I get for buying an almost-but-not-quite bleeding edge laptop.
My wife has been out of town for the week visiting a friend, so I’ve had the house to myself, and while I don’t think I need to call in Hazmat yet, I do think it’s time to tidy things up a bit before she arrives home on Friday. This includes attempting to Craigslist our old TV, since we have the gorgeous LCD HDTV now, and making my way to Powells or Jan’s Paperbacks to offload some of my books before they stage a rebellious uprising and take over the house.
Speaking of books, I need to get one of those handy Widgets that displays the book you’re reading and others you’ve read on your blog. I think that shall be my blogs next important journey to embark on. Mmm.. books.
