My wife and I had my brother over to share in our Thanksgiving feast, and I decided to try my hand at cooking a turkey. With some long-distance assistance from my father-in-law, and perusing some recipes online, the turkey turned out great. It was perfectly moist and tender, but then again, my account is probably biased since I was the one who cooked it.
The other usual Thanksgiving dishes (mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and stuffing), were prepared by my wife. They all, of course, turned out quite well and were deliciously tasty. To top it all off she also baked two pumpkin pies, which have not lasted very long in our refrigerator.
On Friday we woke up far, far too early, and braved the ‘Black Friday‘ crowds. We managed to pickup a nice new luggage set for $50 (free after we used a gift certificate), a 3-pack of memory cards, and a new laser printer to replace our finicky ink-jet. The crowds weren’t actually that bad, but that’s probably due to the fact that it was 6am and most sane people were still at home deep in their turkey-induced comas.

Glad your turkey turned out good. And glad you remembered to take the giblets out:) Wish all of us could have spent the time together but I do understand that it costs alot to fly out here in the ole South! Naybe April!! Yeah for April, we can help Tanya celebrate her birthday! love you Honey and glad you had such a fantastic Turkey Day!
