As a reader pointed out, the image from today’s APOD was actually an embedded movie, which my little APOD widget didn’t take to very kindly. I’ve added a little fix to evaluate the image source and verify that it’s at least a valid image extension (.jpg, .gif, .png) before attempting to display it. […]
